A few samplings of the many sculptures/statues in the Vigeland Statue park in Oslo....beautiful place....
In the last three days we have been in Oslo, Aarhus Denmakr, and Berlin......Oslo seems like a quiet little town, with a great public transit system that we used to get around, and would be a nice place to live.....Aarhus, we had never heard of before, but is a seaside university town, which comes complete with cobblestone streets, its ownd medieval church, art galleries, and many place to enjoy a beer......which we did. We banked in Warnemerude in Germany, and took a 3 hour train ride to Berlin for a whirl wind tour of the sites......what was most interesting was that most of what we were looking at is a reproduction of the original, since most was destroyed during the war - and they are not done rebuilding yet - some buildings have been painstakingly rebuilt, including the truly amazing Berlin cathedral, using nothing more than a picture of the original........of course we saw the wall, and check point Charlie, and the Brandenburg gates......and finally, toured the Pergamon musueum which has many trully impressive Greek, Assyrian, and Muslm articfacts - but by the time we got there, I was beyond learning any more than that! Now a day at sea, champagne tasting, reading, lounging, and not much more than that.......
I remember the Vigeland Statue Park. It's incredible. Sounds like you're seeing many great sights. What a good way to see Europe!
