I have time this morning to write, because I accidentally got up an hour early - we lost 2 hours going to Saint Peterburg, and now we have them back....I forgot one of the hours!
Helsinki was cold and wet yesterday, and we were not ambitious....we walked around for awhile and tried to find a coffee shop....maybe we were in the wrong part of town (the maint street!) but had trouble finding one, and thne ended up paying 5 euros for 2 cups of coffee - that we had to pour ourselves out of the typical glass carafe - nothing special considering each coffee cost the equivalent of $5 each!! Not sure, but maybe the Finns aren't into the coffee as much as the Russians?
Went to the equivalent of their farmer's market - some similarities to ours, with a few exceptions - for example the fox fur stoles (comlete with the foxes head0 that are for sale, and the wide variety of berries in the stands.....
well - gotta go - running out of air time......
