To all my beloved followers...lol :-)
Just a quick post.....We are off the ship, in Copenhagen, and catching the plane home tomorrow.....great time -now we are tired, and thoughts are starting to turn towards all the work that is waiting for us back home!
Ok - Before I sign off - the best travel experience and favorite city - Saint Petersburg, and walking down Nevsky Prospect, of course!! Place we would most want to live ourselves - Stockholm (1/3 water, 1/3 trees and 1/3 buildings - clean and neat city); lessons learned - we don't ride our bikes enough in Canada! All the cities (except Russia) have bike lanes....other lesson learned - don't WALK in the bike lanes!
Thoughts on cruising:
The good: only having to unpack once, all u can eat food, having someone else make your bed and great itinerary!
The bad: having to be back on the ship before 5 PM (or earlier), and not enough time to mingle with the locals, music selection geared towards the 80 year old crowd, and having to leave when you would have stayed a day longer if you could...
